What is a Ranger?
Rangers are the class that have advanced from Archer class with the military force. They aren't a class that has a little sanctuary for all to be in. Nor are they do happy go lucky dances around Dragonica. And they certainly do not have a fat big sword to strike a foe. They are the trained strategists with formidable skills.
Are Rangers difficult to play?
It really depends on you. Like Hunter you still have your 'X' automatic arrows and with you new found offensive skills, you might find things relatively easy. Also like Hunter, just try and find your 'comfort zone' with the Ranger and you will be fine.
Ranger Skills. What should I get?
Again you don’t have to get the skills I mention but they may be as a reference to you.
Ranger Skill 1. Crux Shot
Crux Shot will amplify your next attack by a certain percentage. Even though this is an active skill, you can maximize your already high damage output by a lot. A skill for damage reasons.
Ranger Skill 2. Gatling Rush
A very strong skill and probably your main offensive skill. It does a very high amount of damage and since it can hit 10 enemies or more, with Crux Shot you can absolutely smash your foes with your strength and power.
Ranger Skill 3. Auto-Shot System
You will want this to help you with ANY situation. This will be of great help and a nice addition to your array of offensive skills. It does a hefty amount of damage and when you add your own personal damage to this, you probably will annihilate you foes instantly.
Other Ranger Skills
In the process of getting the three skills I have mentioned, you will need to get other skills such as Random Shot and RPG-7. You can also get these skills, and H.E Grenade which is also nice.
A Hunter is a class that has advanced from the Archer class. They are not some staff or stave wielding battlist. Nor are they thieves that are full of joy or darkness. They aren't even those who attack with a mighty sword or shiny shield! They are the Long-Bow wielding Archers that roam the fields setting traps and nets using the power of nature.
Are Hunters difficult to play?
Not necessarily, they advanced from Archer class and have some similar skills but many are different. You can get a special feel around and experience if you can try to find out the best way for you to be a Hunter effectively.
Hunter Skills? What ones should I get?
Again you don’t have to get the skills I mention but they may be as a reference to you.
Hunter Skill No 1. Advanced Bow Mastery
Like Bow Mastery of Archer times, this one can further your damage of your bow and arrow. Obviously needed if you want to maximize your damage output.
Hunter Skill 2. Bird Watching
Bird Watching is the humorous and effective self buff that Hunters have. This skill can also help further your damage and maximize your damage output. A great skill indeed.
Hunter Skill 3. Wolf Rush
A very nice skill. This is a powerful offensive skill that comes after Rocket Launcher which you will need to get. While leveling up this skill you can attack more foes and add more combo points.
Other Hunter Skills
Bleed is a skill that you may want to get for the skill, Acid arrow which will give you many opportunities to use the skill Net-Bind and its counterpart, Disruption. You can also get Sharpshooting which is another offensive skill.
Is the archer a class that attacks with a mighty sword? Nope. Is it a class that uses a staff to release chaos on its foes? Nope. Is archer a class that uses claws to scratch their foes to death? Nope. Archer is a class that uses the power and strength of an arrow and a bow.
What do Archers do?
Archers attack their foes with automatic arrows. You don’t need to buy them! The normal ‘X’ attacking arrows do low amounts of damage at an extremely fast rate, racking up those massive combos you need for a ‘S’ rank when doing Mission Maps.
Why should you choose Archer?
Why shouldn’t you choose Archer? Their fast attacking rate gives high combos and they can be a powerful ally, or an overpowering enemy. They have very strong offensive skills in 2nd Job and are a great addition to the team. But this goes for all classes. They all have so many pros and cons that any class is good. You just have to use them effectively.
Are Archers difficult to play?
Well not necessarily. Archers can rack up high combos but sometimes people have trouble finding the most effective ways in doing this. Again all classes have their pros and cons but you just gotta use them effectively.
What skills do Archers have?
With the strength of a bow and the power of (an) arrow(s), Archer class uses these to overcome their enemies.
So many skills to choose! So many to use! What should I get?
Get all the skills you want! Any of those skills will help your path to Ranger or Hunter. But I have chosen a few skills that I think are necessary. You DO NOT have to follow this if you don’t want to.
Archer Skill No 1. Rising Arrow (Active)
This is the first skill you get as an Archer and a very good one at that. Without this you won’t be able to do air combos or launch any enemies up into the air (excluding the use of Re-Launch). As you level this skill more, you can do more damage and launch more enemies. This is a skill you would want to level and use.
Archer Skill No 2. Anti-Air Shot (Active)
This is another skill that you should get. It combines with Rising Arrow (Active) when you launch enemies up into the air. Once you do so, just keep quickly tapping the desired key (or ‘Z’) and you will see your enemies getting bounced by your evil attack, all until they fall down increasing you damage and adding air combos.
*Note there has been reports of a bug or problem with monsters becoming invincible after using Anti-Air Shot.
Archer Skill No 3. Bow Mastery
For obvious reasons. Look at your weapon. It’s a bow and what’s the name of this skill? Bow Mastery! Guess it’s reasonable to say that you would need this skill to increase your damage output when using a bow, which you would want a lot!
Archer Skill No 4. Double Shot/Multi Shot (Shootdown)
This is definitely a difficult choice. Many have noted that these are not needed when you reach second job but since boss killing may be harder for you, you may want to use at least one of these skills. Double Shot has a high damage output but Multi Shot can release 3 or more arrows (depending on level of skill) so it is your decision. I chose one of each in different testing phases and I still don’t know what I should choose.
*Note that if you want to get Multi Shot you will need to get the skill Shootdown.
Archer Skill No. 5 Re-Launch
This is also a potential skill. It may help in different situations also, especially if you want more use of Anti-Air Shot but it is optional if you don't like PvPing. But if you are PvPing this skill can be very useful to you especially when if your opponent fails at the rolling dodge.
I personally haven’t tried Moonwalk or Moonwalk Shot but you may like to experience and try them out. Same goes with Rapid Step which may help in different situations.
Please also note that if you use your Skill Reset Scroll, that I recommend only getting the first three skills. After that you will have a lot more skill points to use on your second job skills.
Where do Archers level?
Archers can level in many ways. They can level by grinding at normal maps (BOOORING), or they can do quests in conjunction with Mission Maps (FUN)!
From level 1-20, I have found the best way to level is try and do as many quests as you can that give nice rewards and nice experience, and then party all the time in Mission Maps to finish of those Hero Quests. If you do that all the way to level 20 you will be fine. F4 on all Mission Maps will get you through comfortably. Partying is the key to fast leveling.
I have reached level 20. What do I do now?
Okay first things first, make sure you have completed ALL the Hero Quests until you have reached Port of Winds. You can check if you have done them all in you Journal. Make sure you are level 20 (just in case you are 99% and then die) and then make your way to Port of Winds. Then meet up with Archer – Rony and go no from there. Mana shield :
This is a great defensive skill, and since mages have a very small bit of defence i definitely reccomend maxing this one. It absorbs up to 30% of the damage taken and converts it 5hp:1MP at max level. Great skill.
PvE : 5/5
PvP : 5/5
Fire emblem
This skill is great, it's very spammable with it's very low cooldown, and it does a lot of damage. This is one of the 2 best skills for PvE, with energy condensation it gets even better! For PvP this is good too, if you knock someone down and he doesn't roll. Use fire emblem, when he gets up he'll get hit lots of times. You can also use it for other ways, like using it > hoping it hits the enemy by chance and using blizzard on the enemy. In group PvP it hit's a lot and just owns. (especially gvg) Some people say you should keep this skill at level 1 or 3, because the mp cost get's way too high at 3+, especially for PvP. And the damage doesn't increase that much anyway from 1-5.
PvE : 5/5
PvP : 1/5 or 3/5 to save MP
Tornado :
This skill, isn't that good. It's damage is okay but it really doesn't do much. It makes the enemies fly way up high, but you can't combo them or anything so it's useless.
PvE : 2/5 for blizzard
PvP : 2/5 for blizzard
Cloud kill :
This skill is okay, if you have a lot of sp left, you can get this but otherwise it's fairly useless. Not that it's bad, but the other skills just aren't as good in comparison. The damage isn't that great, and the mobs die from poison before you're done. In PvP, if you miss, you're dead. The animation just takes way too long!
PvE : 0/5
PvP : 0/5 - slow
Magic Missile :
This skill is pretty good, at maxed level it shoots 10 homing missiles, they all can hit individually. It's alright for PvE but not that good compared to Fire emblem and Blizzard. In PvP this shines, 10 homing missiles that can do a lot of damage, if it hits one target he's dead.
PvE : 0/5 I reccomend, but you could get more for bosses
Pvp : 5/5 Great skill!
Blizzard :
This skill is probably the best of a Battle Mage, it's damage is insane and it can freeze! It's a pretty big AoE and it can hit up to 10mobs. If you dont max this you're crazy!
PvP : 5/5
PvE : 5/5
Passive skills :
Battle hit :
Nobody likes this skill, for good reason. It says it knocks the enemy back, but it doesn't knockback till level 3. This skill is also VERY slow, the enemy can hit you before you hit it with this. It ruins combo's by using a lame melee attack instead of X. For PvP you get hit by a combo and die before using it. Get this to 3/3, because otherwise every time you DO use it accidentily, you have to dash away to use a spell. With 3/3 it knocks back and you can cast again.
PvE : 3/3 for staff mastery/knockdown
PvP : 3/3 for staff mastery/knockdown
Staff Mastery :
Must get skill, it adds 100 magic attack, it might not be much at higher levels but every piece of extra damage is good! Can always re-skill :O
PvE : 5/5
PvP : 5/5
Energy condensation :
Max this skill, it makes the already great skill fire emblem even better. It hits every 0.25 seconds with this skill. max.
PvE : 5/5
PvP : 5/5
Deadly poison :
Cloud kill really isn't a good skill. Don't get this ><
PvE : 0/5
PvP : 0/5

Wide heal :
It's... Ok. You defnitely need it on 1 for the other skills. I would keep it on 1. It's slow and the range is pretty small compared to insta heal. It does heal quite a lot at higher lvls, and it can be good if used at the right time. For PvP it's horrible, way too slow. It might work in a 16people PvP though.
Support : 1/5 to 5/5 if you have sp left.
PvP : 1/5
Sanctuary :
Love this skill, at max it heals 500hp per 2seconds. It almost makes you invincible if you stand in it and spam. It's nerfed, but still it's great.
For PvE, this is good against bosses. In Group PvP this is great for your teammates, but in 1v1 it's useless and will just get you killed.
Support : 5/5
PvP : 5/5
Instant heal :
Best healing skill there is, it's range is amazing and it heals a lot. It has just a 6second cooldown, so it's spammable too. Max this no matter what.
It's instant, so for PvP you really want this
Support : 5/5
PvP : 5/5
Ressurection :
This skill is great, in PvE if someone dies and you res him he won't lose exp and he stays in the mission map. In PvP it doesn't work sadly ._.
Support : 1/5 to 5/5 if points left. ( I like 5/5 more because you can res 5 people with 50%hp/mp )
PvP : 1/5, just for when you're leveling.
Diffusion cannon :
Arguably the best skill of an Acolyte, it makes you shoot 3fireballs instead of 1!(normal X attack) and for every fireball the damage is 70%+50. The only problem is that because of this skill you can't move. With normal X you can. Even then it's a must. Max this no matter what, as fast as possible!
Makes you able to shoot from above in PvP, very important skill for everything.
Support : 5/5
PvP : 5/5
Lightning shield :
Great skill, the damage is insane. At level 2 it already outdamages all your magician skills. It's fast, and very usefull for combo's. ( LS>Meteor>AC ) You must max this.
In PvP it's fast and unexpected, a must max.
Support : 5/5
PvP : 5/5
Detection :
This is only useful in PvP , and for getting Barbarian and Witch's Curse.
Well, i'm not very experienced with this skill. In my opinion keeping it at level 1 is enough, it detects the invisible people. But, the reason i'm not 100% sure is because of the magic defence decrease. If you're teamed up with more battlemages, it could totally own their magic defence. It would double the damage, but because it's not been tested i'm not sure
Support : 1/5
PvP : 1/5 to 5/5 if you have points left..
Barbarian :
Great skill! at max it has a 72% chance to freeze the enemy for 5seconds! That's enough to get off about 9hits with diffusion cannon.(tripled because it's 3fireballs!) That's a lot of damage, and if you combine it with Witch's curse just before they unfreeze it's overpowerd really! This skill is really good in PvP, in PvE it's useable, but a bit unneeded.
Support : 2/5 For witch's curse [Lvl this to 5/5 if you've maxed all your heals.]
PvP : 5/5
Witch's curse :
At max lvl it has a 85% chance of working, turning the enemy into a frog for 25seconds. If you can hit this you can almost auto-hit with Barbarian, freezing them and being able to own them. This skill is great in PvP, in PvE it's useless.
Support : 1/5 for PvP
PvP : 5/5 great skill
Cast acceleration :
This skill, is plain bad. It takes 3seconds to cast and then for 70secondsyour casting time is decreased by 0.5 seconds.
It's totally not worth it for the SP, and the cooldown is longer than the duration...
PvE: 0/5
PvP : 0/5
Passive skills :
Mp recovery increase :
This skill is great, it adds +35% mp regeneration, that's a lot. And for the sp it costs, only 15, it's perfect.
EDIT : It's not confirmed if this is % or just +regen, will confirm this in OBT! If it's just +regen, it's not good and should be lower!
Support : 5/5

Grizzly
Pre-requisite : None
Max Level: 5
Skill points per level : 15
Effect : 5 str 3% attack / 25str 15% attack
A self buff that adds a fixed number of str and adds attack based on a % depending on skill level. It lasts 15 minutes at all levels but eats 200 mana. Best cast in town to regen back the mana for it since it lasts so long. A must max skill that will be effective at all levels due to the % increase in attack.
Build : MAX MAX MAX
Acceleration
Pre-requisite : None
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 20
Effect : 15% attack speed for 40 seconds / 35% attack speed for 80 seconds ( Cooldown : 120s at all levels)
Unless you plan to use X on ground, this skill will not have much use for you. Given that you will be using skills and air combos the increase in attack speed is only a luxury and should not be a necessity due to lack of skill points. If you worry about lack of attack speed in the air XXX hits, mobs for some reason float slightly when you hit them, allowing even Gladiator's lack of attack speed to hit. When you first switch to Gladiator you might think this skill is essential but as you get used to the attack speed it would not be a problem anymore. Another reason to not pump this skill is the short buff duration. The cooldown is ALWAYS longer than the buff itself and the mana cost can be a problem in PVP if you are relying on it. Keep it at lvl 1 as a pre-requisite skill.
Build : Lvl 1 as pre-requisite
Advanced Sword Mastery
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Grizzly
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 10
Effect : 5% / 21% attack boost
The reason why Gladiators pass Sword Mastery. At the higher levels the 70 attack from Sword Mastery will be overshadowed by this skill's 21% boost at max lvl. A must max as it increases damage of every skill and every hit.
Build : MAX MAX MAX
Annihilation
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Acceleration
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 15
Effect : 10% / 30% attack boost for the next attack. The buff only disappears when you actually hit something (misses don’t count)
The damage boost is insignificant if you are using the regular skills like ACL, Cutdown etc. The times where this skill shines would be with I'm Gone Bro and Wrath of Earth, skills with significant damage output. For Stormblade however, i've not been able to determine if this skill affects all hits or only the first hit of Stormblade, though i believe it to be the latter. The casting time is almost instant, making it possible to use the skill between combos to add more damage. This skill is quite viable in PVP where you can use this to increase the damage dealt from your first hit where you catch your opponent. Due to a lack of skill points though I do not really recommend maxing this. Keep it at lvl 2 as a pre-requisite for Wrath of Earth.
Build : Lvl 2 for pre-requisite. Plays a more significant role in PVP than in PVE. Considerable if you are going full PVP.
Hp Recovery
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Acceleration
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 15
Effect : +200 hp, increased hp recovery 10% additional pot recovery / +1000 hp , increased hp recovery 30% additional pot recovery
Another passive. Gives you even more hp and regeneration with additional recovery from potions. That's like icing on the cake. A must max passive. In PVP, your hp is multiplied, so this skill will give u a even greater hp advantage. Knights also have similar skills that increase their hp as well, so this is our counter to that.
Build : MAX MAX MAX
Dashing Blow
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Adv. Sword Mastery
Max Level : 1
Skill points per level : 20
No. of units hit : 10
Effect : Lvl 1 Profuse Bleed ( 30+ damage over time )
You have to get this skill as a pre-requisite, and its max level 1. A launching blow that you can use in place of your dash hit. Previously your dash hit would only knock down mobs. Press up while dash attacking to activate this skill. It deals more damage than Base and can be your additional skill for whacking bosses with. One overlooked part of this skill is that it re-launches fallen units. This is also a very useful skill if your opponent is rolling left or right after falling in PVP. You can't jump and cutdown on them as jumping is slower than rolling. A simple dash ^ X would re-launch them without having to wait for the dash to stop.
Build : Lvl 1 or MAX ( If you can see a difference.... )
Aerial Blow
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Grizzly
Max Level : 1
Skill points per level : 10
No. of units hit : 10
Aerial Blow is a skill that's activated in mid air by pressing > X . Once u learn this skill you will ruin all ur air combos for a while until you get used to not pressing > in midair when using air XXX. It has a very small hit range, and it won't hit mobs above the 'striking point' like the third air X, hence you have to time when you begin the air XX Aerial Blow combo. Best used for the 3rd hit as it knocks down the mob, similar to the third X. The damage will ALWAYS be higher than the 3rd X, so try getting used to it as fast as possible. You WILL get used to using it.
Build : Lvl 1 or MAX ( If you can see a difference.... )
I'm Gone Bro!
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Dashing Blow
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 15
No. of units hit : 4 / 8
This is one of Gladiator's damage skills. 8 hits also rack up a huge number for the combo count. Doesn't hit fallen or jumping units though. This spell works weirdly in that its actually a single hit and acts immediately upon casting, but what u see and the combo count is delayed. This is true for both Bro Lee skills and i will discuss this further. This skill is worth leveling for its damage and number of units hit. Should not be ignored although its at a dead end of the skill tree.
Build : Lvl 1 for decent damage and combo, MAX for high damage. Works well with Annihilation.
Incoming Bro!
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Aerial Blow
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 15
No. of units hit : 4 /8
Another Bro Lee skill. Doesn't hit fallen or jumping units. It's a 3 hit knockdown that once again, works weirdly in that its actually a single hit and acts immediately upon casting, but what u see and the combo count is delayed. Keep it at lvl 1 as a pre-requisite and long range PVP knockdown option. The damage is mediocre and not worth it. I will explain further its uses in PVP in a later section.
Build : Lvl 1 for a long range option in PVP, PVE it can be used together with I'm Gone Bro to do combined hits. Damage of this skill alone is mediocre.
Gamble
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Incoming Bro!
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 20
Effect : Gives a random buff that affects the party
There are six possible buffs u can get. The buffs are all good but short, contrary to the skill description about getting a bad bet. For most of them you would be able to recast around when the buff is over. Theres a defence buff, attack speed + evasion buff etc, just to name a few. I'll let u experiment and have fun. Increased levels of Gamble give you better versions of the buff.
Build : Lvl 1 for pre-requisite.
Stumblebum
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Gamble
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 10
Effect : Stuns and decreases attack and accuracy of enemies by 20% / 40%
Gladiator's AOE stun skill. It has a relatively fast charge up time and stuns all enemies nearby if they are standing or in the air. The stun duration is shorter than the hammer, but gives u enough time to jump and line up for a Cutdown. Keep it at lvl 1 as you only want it for the stun effect in PVP. Against minibosses the stun + debuff works, but its not exactly worth maxing for the effect. If you just respawned right into the thick of battle in PVP, casting this in the invincible state might just tip the scales in your team's favor. Also, just like the Hammer Crush, the stun CAN interrupt air combos, so be wary.
Build : Lvl 1 for stun option.
Wrath of Earth
Pre-requisite : Lvl 2 Annihilation
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 20
No. of units hit : 5 / 13
Gladiator's trademark skill, it hits enemies in a LARGE area in front of you and knocks them down. The range is out of your screen, and has a large up-down radius. I believe it launches at higher levels but did not get high leveled enough to test it out. Even if it launches, the after casting delay of this spell is massive and you will be unlikely to follow up. It even hits enemies who are jumping but doesn't hurt fallen ones. THE skill against people who are running around or if you want a massive knockdown for your team to recover in PVP.
Build : MAX for damage and number of units hit. 5 for such a huge area is too little. Lovely with annihilation.
Blow
Pre-requisite : None
Max level : 5
Skill points per level : 10
No. of units hit: 5 / 9
The very first skill you get ( and most likely use as well ). Blow is a knockdown skill with slightly extended range over your normal X hits. However it's range is not as far as the image shows. This skill deals damage that i will be using as a base to compare when talking about other skills. Obviously it deals more damage than your melee and you will be using it only at the early levels when you do not have other skills. It's only redeeming factor is that it comes out rather fast and can be used for a quick knockdown. Increased levels only increase the damage and number of units hit.
Build : Lvl 1 as pre-requisite.
Sword Mastery
Pre-requisite: None
Max Level : 5
Skill points per level : 10
Effect: +10 / +70 weapon attack
Your first passive. Adds a fixed number to your attack stat. Veteran gamers would realise its weakness of it being a fixed number and not a %. At max level it adds 70. For Knights this could be a viable skill. However, for Gladiators we have Adv. Sword Mastery which at maxed adds 21% boost from weapon. 21% of 333 = 69. And the lvl 20 2h sword already exceeds that. 'Nuff said. Of course, it will be some time before you actually get to max the skill in 2nd class, so it would be useful for 1st class. Only pump if u reset it at lvl 19 using a Rookie skill reset or if u can afford cash resets.
Build: Lvl 0 or MAX ( MAX ONLY IF you are using this to assist in leveling up and resetting it later)
Air Combo Launch (ACL)
Pre-requisite : None
Max level : 5
Skill points per level : 15
No. of units hit: 5 / 9
Damage is Base at lvl 1. Your cookie cutter skill to launch enemies in the air to follow with Stormblade or jump XXX combo. There is zero reason to increase the lvl of this skill. Points are better saved for more damaging sklls. One argument goes that more units thrown up = more units to hit with Stormblade. I return it back with you do not usually get to hit 10 units unless in instances, and approaching so many units to use a ACL is risky. If you want to max a skill to use with Stormblade, max Cutdown.
Build : Lvl 1
Cutdown
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Blow
Max level : 5
Skill points per level : 20
No. of units hit: 5 / 9
One of the skills you'll love if you are not a hammer spammer. At level 1, damage is Base and the launched height of the mobs is so low you cannot do a jump XXX, but allows you to connect a Stormblade if you use it immediately. At level 3, the height allows you to do basically anything like ACL already. Therefore recommended level is lvl 3. It hits roughly 7/8 units at lvl 3. Only reason you would consider maxing it is the same reason with ACL, except that Cutdown is better since 1. You already have it at lvl 3 and 2. Cutdown is easier to use than ACL AND hits BOTH standing and fallen units, allowing you to re-launch mobs for a second air combo. A section of the guide will be devoted to this later on.
Build : Lvl 3 or MAX ( MAX only if you think you can afford the points and want to sync with Stormblade for more units hit. Not recommended)
Relaunch
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Air Combo Launch
Max level : 5
Skill points per level : 10
No. of units hit: 5 / 9 or 10
One of the "keep it at level 1 for emergency uses" sort of skill. Damage is again base at lvl 1. Cutdown is better for re-launching as it hits both standing and fallen units while RelaunchCutdown
Build : Lvl 1 for an extra re-launch option and pre-requisite for Sword Dance
Storm Blade
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Cutdown
Max level : 5
Skill points per level : 20
No. of units hit: 6 / 10
Our killing skill. Even at 2nd class for Gladiators, we do not have any air skills to replace this, hence max it. Damage is THE MOST as damage increases per hit and it hits roughly 7 times at max level. It's what sets us apart from other classes at early levels as we clear groups of mobs in practically seconds. Only I'm Gone Bro and Wrath of Earth have comparable damage, but they are still lower.
Build : MAX MAX MAX Best damage skill
Sword Dance
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Relaunch
Max level : 5
Skill points per level : 10
No. of units hit: 5 / 7
A skill i did not experiment with at all. It's damage should be slightly above Base, but it doesn't launch but knocks down. It is one of the only long range option at 1st class, but being a single line projectile it makes it rather difficult to connect in PVP. Against bosses in instances it will probably be useful, but if u take the up/down approach in attacking bosses ( which you should ) you won't use this skill much. Lvl 2 is required to unlock Icecold Heart. I recommend putting this skill at 0 or 1 if u feel u need the long range option. Lvl 2 for a hammer is not really worth it. Hammers will be discussed at a later section.
Build : Lvl 0 or Lvl 1 (for a long range option but Gladiators have Incoming Bro which is better ) or 2 (If you want Icecold Heart. Not recommended)
Hammer Crush
Pre-requisite : None
Max level : 5
Skill points per level : 10
No. of units hit: 5 / 13
Effect : 50% / 70% chance to stun for two seconds.
It's hammer time! This is, in my opinion, the most useful hammer. If Base damage was 200+, this deals roughly 400 to 500, depending on level. With a 50% chance to stun at lvl 1, it makes it a very good 1-point utility skill. If you think you're gonna rely on it and crave a more successful stun, max it for 70%. It's not really worth it though and the points can be better spent elsewhere. Gladiators have Stumblebum, which is an AOE stun with a attack and accuracy debuff. It does have a charging time though. Another good (or bad) point to note about this hammer is that it hits opponents in the air in PVP, regardless of if the opponent is in the 'hit' mode or just regular jumping. It gives you an extra option to do if they are falling and prevents them from rolling, but might spoil your partner's combo. Note that instance Bosses cannot be stunned but minibosses can( think Farrel ), but people still spam hammers for the damage. Hammer spam will be discussed at a later section.
Build : Lvl 1 ( 10 SP for a stun option = good ) or MAX ( if you want damage )
Note that Hammers are DIFFICULT to connect for PVP
Blazing Youth
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Hammer Crush, Lvl 2 Stormblade
Max level : 5
Skill points per level : 10
No. of units hit: 5 / 13
Effect: 50% / 70% chance to inflict status Burn ( depletes hp and mana over time )
Another hammer. 2nd in my opinion among the 3 hammers. Damage SHOULD be slightly more than the stun hammer. Burn effect MAY be useful at earlier levels, but would just disappear at the higher levels. MP burning may be effective in PVP though, since MP doesnt regen naturally. Still, if a person lasts long enough to get hit by your hammers and attacks and not die before his mana runs out would be kind of weird, thereby putting down the usefulness of this skill. Not worth pumping unless you want a second hammer for spamming. Hammer spam will be discussed later.
Build : Lvl 0 or 1 (If you want to spam two hammers )
Note that Hammers are DIFFICULT to connect for PVP
Icecold Heart
Pre-requisite : Lvl 1 Hammer Crush, Lvl 2 Sword Dance
Max level : 5
Skill points per level : 10
No. of units hit: 5 / 13
Effect: 50% / 70% chance to inflict status Freeze ( supposedly decreases def, movement and attack speed)
Most useless hammer in my opinion, and made lower with the requirement of lvl 2 Sword Dance. Damage is same as Blazing Youth, higher than Hammer Crush. The slowing may be slightly helpful in dealing with monsters, but in PVP the slowing won't impede a dash jump much. If your opponent means to get away from you, slowing or not, a dash jump will certainly get him away. The decrease in def is by a % though, which might make it useful if you happen to find a mob that has high enough hp to make the decrease in def worth it. Otherwise, just kill it already. Hammer Spam will be discussed in a later section.
Build : Lvl 0 or 1 ( Note that you need lvl 2 Sword Dance )
Note that Hammers are DIFFICULT to connect for PVP hits only fallen. However, there will be cases where you only want to hit fallen units or was cancelled/in cooldown.
