Active skills :


Point buster :
Point buster, in the first ~5 levels it's a bit useful. After that it only goes down, the damage output is horrible and the cast time is pretty long. You have to use this skill and than air combo for it to do any damage, and hitting air combo can be quite a challenge if you lag a bit.
I find it quite useless at 10+ and i would rather use Meteor fall + Air combo than this.
Keep it at level 1.

Meteor fall :
Meteor fall is a great 1st job skill, it hits up to 10mobs(yeah!) and has a pretty high damage output. It's cooldown is almost none if you use it right. It needs maxing, get it to level 5 as soon as possible.
After skill reset if you're going for Acolyte you should keep it maxed, Battle mage doesn't need it so reset it to 0 with the skill reset.
Magician/Acolyte : 5/5
Battle mage : 0/5



Fortress :
This is controversial skill. Some people say it's good while other say it is not. I say it isn't, for several different reasons :
For the skill to get good you need to max both of the passive skills, +atk and +speed. This is really a waste of SP, because that's 15 levels! not 5 for a good skill like MF but 15! So i really think it's a bad skill, and don't wish to spend 15 levels of SP for one skill. It can only hit 5mobs, and the AoE range is pretty small. I reccomend not adding this at all.
All : 0/5 (15/15 if you want it to be good because you need 2 passives. waste of Sp so 0/15)



Slow heal :
Slow heal, can be quite a good skill at lower levels. It heals you for 5% of the caster's HP for 30seconds. that's 50% of the caster's hp! This is also the only skill that heals other people.(teammates and random strangers) The one and only problem is, it heals you for 5% of the caster's hp for 30seconds. This means that if a magician has 1000HP it heals 50 a second. Even if a knight has 5000HP, which is why it really isn't that good.
In Pvp this skill is great though, since your hp gets boosted by a lot(lvl 30=6k hp instead of 1.5k) and it heals 5%, that's way more than self-heal for way less MP. For PvP builds get this!
Keep it at level 1 for self-heal.
PvE : 1/5

Self heal :
Self heal, a must get skill. This you should get on level 1, and leave it there untill you have the other skills you need maxed. Level 1 is enough, but it eats 10% of MP, which is a lot at lvl 20! So when you can level this up, do it.
This skill is not neccesary for acolyte, because we have wide heal and insta heal etc.
But for solo-ing Battle mage it's really good, because they don't have another healing skill.
Slow heal better in PvP
Magician : 1/5 to 5/5 if you have SP left.
Acolyte : 0/5
Battle mage PvE: 5/5
Battle mage PvP : 0/5


Re-Launch
Re-Launch is horrible. The range is horrible, and it's just not worth the SP. You can just as easily do Point buster level 1 or Meteor fall instead of this. Don't add points to it.

Focus :
GREAT SKILL! It adds +20int and +24% magic attack. +24% that's a lot, if you have 1000matk it's now 1240! This skill is a must max for everybody. There's nothing else to say.

Passive skills :


Air combo :
Air combo, or AC, can be quite a nice skill if used well. When you're a magician you definitely need to get this, it does great damage and is very good for combo-ing. Combine this with meteor fall and you can get quite a bit of damage output in 2attacks! I would say definitely max this skill, since it's only 3levels it's not that much points anyway.
After skill reset if you're going for Acolyte, you definitely need to keep this maxed, it's still very useful. But if you're going Battle Mage it really is not needed any more.
Max it at level 3, for acolyte, and skill reset it to level 0 for battle mage.
Magician/Acolyte : 3/3
Battle mage : 0/3



Mp potion maximization :
This skill is pretty good, in Closed beta and pre-cbt it was bad for one reason : Eternal Mp potions. They were so spammable you never really needed a real MP pot. But in OBT this skill will save you loads of money. At max level it adds +30% MP of the potions. It's a must max, and only costs 10sp per level!

Magic enhancement :
I myself, don't like this skill much. It only adds 100matk, which at later levels won't be much. It only costs 15Sp per level, so i guess you can add to it. It's only 2 levels and it's a cheap 100 magic attatk. As Magician it's a must, and i would recommend adding it as Acolyte and battlemage if you aren't saying Sp for something else.

Cannon upgrade ( Fortress ) :
It's basicly a horrible skill, at maxed it only gives a bit extra magic attack, and it's way too much sp for one not very good skill : Fortress. Refer to the skill ' Fortress ' above this one for more information.

Bullet acceleration ( Fortress ) :
Basicly the same comments as cannon upgrade, the skill Fortress isn't really that good. So wasting SP on it really isn't that good of an idea. Refer to the skill ' Fortress ' above this for more information.
